Michael Blake, vice chair of the Democratic National Committee, spoke at the Volusia County Democratic Black Caucus' Second Annual Black and Blue Gala on August Third. The topic of the event was the urgency for the American people to get out and vote in the upcoming 2020 election. The event was held at Bethune Cookman University in the Center for Civic Engagement.
Michael Blake, is also a New York City Assemblyman from the 79th district in Bronx, New York. The Volusia County Black Democratic Caucus, hosted the annual fundraising gala in order to help local African American Democratic candidates and other Democrats elected to local, state and national offices.
