The African American Museum of the Arts Hosted a workshop on Photo Memory Quilts by Master Quilter Lauren Austin. Participants in the workshop were educated on how to take family photographs, memorabilia, and keepsakes to develop their own stories and inspirations to create their own art quilts. Mrs. Austin also had an art exhibit on display at the Yvonne Scarlett Golden Educational Center 1000 Vine Street in Daytona Beach Florida, last year.
