Lies Uncovered: The Truth About the Arthur G. Dozier Reform School for Boys" which was in Marianna, Florida is a Black history book. 55 unmarked graves were discovered at the site of the school. In December 2008, then Florida Governor Charlie Christ directed the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to investigate the allegations of abuse, torture, and murder that survivors shared. Unbelievably, no concrete evidence was found linking any student deaths to the actions of the school staff and no charges were ever filed. The stories told by survivors in the book tell a different story.. Lies Uncovered was recognized by the National Association Of Black Journalist & the National Association Of Hispanic Journalist as a recipient of the, "Outstanding Book Award" for 2020.
