Islamic Center Of Daytona Beach Offers Free Summer Program to Daytona Beach Youth

Mrs. Linda McGee, Director of the Islamic Center of Daytona Beach, teaches Brian, Kadell, Auniyanna, Curtis, Cali, Koniyah, Trinty, and Amare, how to build objects with Lego's.

Mrs. Linda McGee, of the Islamic Center of Daytona Beach is heading up a free Summer Camp that is open to all children in the Daytona Beach community. The Summer youth Camp has over 160 youth from all over Daytona Beach participating in the summer program every day, said Mrs. McGee.


Youth are treated to free Breakfast, Snacks, Lunch, and learn how to bake. Other activities include: educational activities; music, including learning Muslim Rap songs; sports; arts & crafts; games; field trips; water play; movies; religious activities, including Quran reading; and more daily. " One of our goals to to teach our youth to share and work together, said Mrs McGee. The program operates solely on donations from the community.
