I had the pleasure of attending Westside Elementary yesterday with The Beta Iota Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc which has embraced this season of giving by extending a gesture of kindness to select students at Westside Elementary School. The sorority donated shoes to these excited young students to support educational efforts for our youth.
This annual project is termed “Soles For Little Souls” which provides students with a gift gesture of shoes. Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority annually exhibits this seasonal support of giving to students at area schools.
Teachers and students expressed their appreciation to the sorority by way of a verbal heartfelt thank you and a personalized thank you card. The Principal Mr. Dwayne Copeland, and teachers expressed their genuine gratitude for the sorority’s outreach. The Sigma Gamma Rho philosophy continues.
The kids at Westside were excited as they were called up to the front of the classroom one at a time. I will never forget the look of joy on their faces as they received their gift bag from Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. This truly was a blessing to see.
