"My Journey Inspired by Art Exhibit" Coming to DeLand, FL Saturday, August 13

Artist Kenneth Harris will present "My Journey Inspired by Art" Saturday, August 13 to October 26, 2022, at the African American Museum of the Arts, in DeLand, FL.

Kenneth Harris was born and raised in Portland, Jamaica. He is a self-taught artist whose paintings capture the essence of his home's native people and lush landscapes. He paints these nostalgic scenes in watercolor, pastel, acrylic, and in his preferred medium-oil.

In addition to the African American Museum of the Arts in DeLand, Harris' work has been exhibited around Central Florida, at the Gateway Center of the Arts, The Casselberry Art House, Folks, and Urban Festival in Winter Park, and many other venues.

The Museum is open on Wednesday and Friday from 10:00 AM TO 4:00 PM and Saturday 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
