On Saturday, July 16, 2022, I went to Mainland High School to interview retired legendary NBA basketball player Vince Carter as he ran the Vince Carter Youth Basketball Academy for the local youth in Daytona Beach. Vince Carter takes great pride in giving back to the community. The basketball camp welcomes all children for three days of fundamentals in the game of basketball. Carter and his staff teach the youth what it means to commit themselves not only to the sport but how their dedication and discipline will carry over into their adult life. This was the camps 24th year that Vince Carter and his team ran the basketball camp in Daytona Beach, Fl.
