The Urban Chamber Of Commerce Of Volusia/Flagler Counties To Honor Local Minority-Owned Businesses
Forward-thinking non-profit, The Urban Chamber Of Commerce Of Volusia/Flagler Counties, holds an event to celebrate the achievement of a local minority-owned business
The Urban Chamber Of Commerce Of Volusia/Flagler Counties is set to celebrate the effort of a local minority-owned businesses that have contributed immensely to the development of the community. The "Community Business Roundup" is a result of the organizations goal of advancing the general welfare and prosperity of the Volusia/Flagler County area by creating a platform that unites the different stakeholders of the business community.
During the Community Roundup, The Urban Chamber of Commerce of Volusia/Flagler Counties will recognize the organizations first "Blue Ribbon Business" , Mr. Oliver Ross, CEO of The Crab Stop . Quickly becoming a staple on Daytona Beach's main thoroughfare, International Speedway Boulevard, The Crab Stop has expanded from its first location ion MLK Boulevard in the historic Midtown Business District. Also being recognized will be Gilleys Shoe Shop, a Black-owned shop which has been in business for nearly 100 years.
"We need to create a marketplace that can capture the tourism dollars that we as a Black business group have never captured,” said Kennedy Jacobs Sr., founder of the Urban Chamber Of Commerce Of Volusia/Flagler Counties. members of every community must create initiatives to foster the development of their community, which underlines the importance of the initiative launched by the team at The Urban Chamber of Commerce of Volusia/Flagler Counties
The Community Business Roundup will be held at The Crab Stop, 933 W. International Speedway Blvd., Daytona Beach, FL on Saturday, February 27th from 11:00am to 2:00pm. The group is looking for the full support of the community in coming out and patronizing the Crab Stop during this show of appreciation.
